Full Figured Fashion Week is notorious for introducing us to a new round of plus size designers and brands. One of which left us inspired, proud, and extremely motivated! One who received the most cheers for the Indie showcase. We are talking about the designer behind the brand, Hannah Caroline Couture. Not only was she absolutely adorable and fun, but her mother was just as inspirational, her mother was the consummate cheerleader for her daughter, taking and snapping pictures, and right by her side!

If you haven’t yet ordered a piece of clothing that was custom-made for your body, then you are missing out on a world of comfort, style, and unlimited confidence.  This is exactly the reason why thousands of people have started to take notice of Hannah Olson, the 19 year-old founder, owner and designer of Hannah Caroline Couture.

Now I don’t know about you, but when I was 19, I was buying clothes, not making clothes or a name for myself like Hannah is! Her clothing line was even featured at Full Figured Fashion Week NYC and she was the National Gold Medalist for Fashion Design at the FCCLA STAR Competition.

Hannah’s approach is extremely thoughtful, forward-thinking, and meticulous. There is something whimsical, attitudinal, and edgy in her pieces- all with a bit of restraint! Dude, she is only 19!!! Can you imagine where her skill set and inspiration will bring us at 25??!!! Mind. Blown.

Dying to know more about this designer, the collection, and her inspiration, we asked Hannah a few questions about her style and fashion! Take a read!

Natasha: What are the different types of clothing that you make? 

Hannah: I am self-taught and I primarily make clothing for special occasions. I’ve made wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, dresses, tops, and skirts. I am working on adding Jackets and pants to what HCC offers.

Natasha: Who is your ideal customer? 

Hannah: She is bold but not over the top. She wants her clothing to make a statement.  She is not someone who wants to blend in.  She is edgy and wants a youthful look.

Natasha: What are some inspirations for your designs? 

Hannah: My inspiration comes from architecture and material. I frequently go to Chicago to get my fabrics and find the textiles that inspire the clothing.
